Their fur is the colour of milk chocolate, extending from the backs of their bony black fingers all the way to their equally bony black feet. Their long plush tails take on a darker hue, similar to dark chocolate. The males of the species can be identified by the subtle pink tinge to their fur, thought to be caused by eating ruby cocoa beans. The oils and minerals in their diet gives their sleek chocolate fur a lustre that means they are highly sought after by poachers.
