Half Elves

The Half Elves of Savorah are like those in most cases where they are trapped between worlds often seen as mongrels and must work all the harder to get anywhere in life. The exception to this rule is in Rhyderia, Half Elves in Rhyderia make up a substantial percentage of the population this is due to the very first incarnation of Rhyderia back in the First Era. In the First Era the humans of Rhyderia caught the attention of the Eladrin those of the Court of Storms, perhaps because humanity was the element of Air’s chosen race but also because they appreciated the honor bound society. So, the Eladrin began to intermingle with the humans, at first as friends and eventually unions between the races resulted in the Half Eladrin, these offspring were held in high esteem and within a few generations had become a large population within Rhyderia also gaining positions of power but with each generation more and more of the Eladrin was lost turning into the Rhyderian Half-Elves. The Rhyderian Knightly Order: Knights of the Courts is made up of Half Elves who can trace their ancestry back to those original pairings. Some scholars do say that the name Half Elf for these ones is a misnomer as the Eladrin are different from the elves of Belthuran but despite their protests the name Half elf persists.
Among these Half Elves there is more fondness towards others of the Eladrin bloodline, but they do welcome those of the elves of Belthuran, and often are the biggest advocates to defend those who are half Anrashan. Any Half-Elf presented to a Knight of Courts will ask them their station, if they don’t have an answer it reveals them to be uninitiated and the Knight will seek to correct this. The Knights of the Courts welcome all Half-Elves into their ranks, it is seen more as a secondary family or in some cases their only family. Joining them adds a secondary Surname to the Half-Elf. In a fashion equal to Adariss Volltar Court, job. The job is in reference to their role in the order, this could be squire, artisans or whatever their role in the order is. This role can change as the Half-Elf proves themselves and seeks advancement.
