Khelthad

Earth Genasi, Oread, Stone soul, and Khelthad are all names used for those dwarves who are born blessed by the element of Earth. In ages past the dwarves were shaped from the very stone by the element of earth to be its chosen people, this was before they were forced to become flesh and blood mortals to live on the world, even after that there are examples of these beings throughout history for the dwarves. These dwarves are born closer to the element of earth this is a somewhat vexing thing for most dwarves as the vast majority of the Khelthad are sorcerers which would normally mark them as a Blackhorn, yet they are closer to the elemental that first made them. It is to settle the minds of Dwarves that they are given the surname Magmaheart as clearly, they were meant to face this dangerous threat of using magic and so they need all the strength they can get.

Physical Description

The Khelthad appear to be dwarves in most aspects but tend to have certain features replaced with more earthen ones. Their eyes are rather dark pits and while they have eyes that are functionally the same as other dwarves, they are a single solid color. Their skin tends to be rougher and earthy colorations. Their beards are often overgrown with various mosses and in some cases mushrooms. Skin color ranges from a granite grey to a sandy tan.

Society

The Khelthad is somewhat of a strange thing for the dwarves, they are closer to the earth which is the element they originated at. The vexing thing for most dwarves as the vast majority of the Kelthad are sorcerers which would normally mark them as a 'Blackhorn', yet they are closer to the elemental that first made them. It is to settle the minds of dwarves that they are given the surname Magmaheart as clearly, they were meant to face this dangerous threat of using magic and so they need all the strength they can get. In all other respects, they are just as stubborn and obstinate as the Dwarves themselves.

Relationships

The Khelthad is considered a part of the dwarves and share the same sort of opinions as they do. They do however find Stormborn to be very annoying, with no special animosity towards Ignar or Anra, there is still the normal amounts for dwarves.
Alignment & Religion: The Khelthad tend to be very rigid and unyielding lending themselves to the lawful alignments many becoming guards or military leaders enjoying the comfort of the rule of law and order. They do tend to by and large follow Rurmerika Magmaheart (The Warden) as their patron and mother but that is up to the individual Khelthad.   Adventurers: Khelthad adventurers are generally out in the world for some direct purpose and are eager to get home again, however, they refuse to cut corners and will stay until the job is done to the letter, beyond that it depends on the Khelthad in question. Some Khelthad do begin to feel an affinity for the world around them as they spend time away from Hammerock and learn to appreciate the stone of foreign lands and remain wandering for many years before returning home.
