The Elemental Crisis

In the year 750 2A during the reign of the Tyrannus, Tavreth'Kalinth while the world was still recovering from the end of the First Era and the devastation that was caused by the wars of the gods and outsiders to the realm. A new crisis occurred, which is known to history as the Elemental Crisis. Many histories tell of a time when the elementals went to war with each other and that their clashing affected the material world. Some will say that this was a side effect, while others believe they simply waged their war on the material plane regardless of the issues it brought to the material world. How the Draz Tyran has it recorded states that in the space between the elemental planes and the overplane the elements raged against each other as they had for all time, but with the creation of the Overplane, the barrier to keep the divines from interfering with the material world a consequence was reverberations from the elemental battles coming back to affect Belthuran, they had been building up for centuries before they finally hit a tipping point. Tyrannus Tavreth'Kalinth is said to have commanded the meeting of the prime elementals and with their aid and the Tyrannus, crown found a means to connect the elemental planes to the Overplane directing their devasting battles away from the Material Plane, which they helped make.

It was this event that led to the creation of the Obelisks of Creation, between the beginning of that act and dealing with the Elemental crisis the Tyrannus became weakened and tired, one of the few dragons who had to call upon such a heavy amount of power from the Tyrannus Crown. His reign after the Elemental Crisis was unchallenged mostly due to a sense of gratitude and respect that he gathered for taking on so much of the burden of the Crown even as the strain nearly killed him. He willingly retired when he grew too feeble to endure the Tyrannus crown longer.

Manifestation

Volcanoes erupted with greater and greater fury far too soon after a previous eruption, the earth trembled weekly sometimes for days at a time. The winds howled as storms raged and the seas grew turbulent and violent casting tidal waves and other dangers. Many would describe these events as an apocalypse. The Draz Tyran, druids, and mages of the world worked to contain the worst of the disasters while the Tyrannus sought answers and used the crown to prevent world sundering events.
