The Guild of Crafters

The largest and second oldest guild, when trade began to start again this guild was dredged up from its old ways after it was nearly abandoned during the dark ages. In this new age, they picked up right where they left off and gather together craftsman and ensure a certain quality from all members of the guild to produce wares above the basic wares of the nonmembers.   Each item comes with the crafter signature and guild seal as a mark of quality. Any guild craftsman can and will repair a guild item for a discount. Non-guild items are not guaranteed this. Reasons to be apart are the mark of recognition of your skill, chance for your wares to become highly sought after based on skill. Access to raw materials are discounted rates as well as cheaper laborers in the form of apprentices which are the newest members. This guild is based within the Diamond layer of the city of Hammerock and members in good standing within the guild can very easily enter the city even if they are of outside race. Though that ease is relative as the dwarves can be a very gruff race to deal with.   General rules and dismissal The rules for the Crafter’s guild are rather simple, always do the job you were commissioned for to the best of your ability. Healthy competition is encouraged but don’t seek to run your (guild) competitors out of business. Murder, destruction of others works, falsifying the guild seal or another's crafters mark are grounds for dismissal.

Structure

Council of Grandmasters: The oldest and most skilled masters of their trade represent the trade itself on matters of important guild business. Master: Past journeyman and has trained several apprentices and earned the title of master of their craft. Journeyman: Graduated from apprentice and able to work in the field but still learning. Apprentice: No real power in the guild as they are still learning often from a journeyman, sometimes a master if they are lucky.

Culture

In terms of most guilds, there is a more lax manner in addressing others of higher rank, respect should be showed to everyone in the guild but there is also healthy rivalry and minor hazing of new apprentices or other professions.

Public Agenda

To ensure only the highest quality wares are produced and regulated, something with the guild seal of approval is backed and guaranteed to work and can be taken in to be repaired, restored, sharpened, or whatever is needed. Guild members won't work on items without the seal nor are they allowed to sell any,
