Death and the Fugue Plane
Death is a grand affair, for most. It is the end of a life but more importantly it is the movement to another realm. Death is a middle stage not of life but the journey of a soul. See the soul moves on, the soul is not dead. This movement is enabled by the fugue plane, or purgatory, a grey and plain plane, that exists as a temporary stop on the journey of the soul.
Once the soul of the faithful, just, evil or whatever happens to be is noticed by their respective deity, the soul will be taken off to the realm of their god. In all cases this is done by the god in question, as their one major duty. If no god claims the soul, then Dumathoin, the god of death will accept the soul as another worker within the greater plane of death.
