Discovery, Exploration

With De Ro on the throne the path seemed so clear. The nobles that had once blocked expansion, out of fear of the unknown, out of greed, and power, no longer held back the Empire.

The Empire with it's naval industry and armies pushed forward off and out of the continent they knew off in search of anything else. They scattered to the far corners of the world. To the south they found land, unclaimed by civilized folk. There the people settled creating small cities along the coast. With time these cities would be the starting point for exploration of the main land. With further exploration, contact was made with the Lizardfolk, a group of savage fighters, yet strangely shamanistic. With the aid of the firbolg within the cities a alliance was eventually brokered between the empire and the lizardfolk. The alliance assimilated that of the lizard folk and honored the land the lizardfolk held, in return for knowledge of the area, to include minerals and magic nodes.   This eventually led to the discovery of the second group of people on the southern continent, that of the Tabaxi, a wandering merchant race of people. They were traders and merchants that knew the southern lands of the southern continent quite well. They had heard the offers made to the lizardfolk and sought out the protection and money of the empire seeking to break into the older markets of the Empire, in exchange they joined the Empire as free people, much like the lizardfolk.
