After the first era, the humans had come to know and understand the basics of the areas they now lived within. They had a firm grasp of their way of life. Yet this is when they met another group, the elves.   Initial contact was hostile, as the humans had not seen other peoples.

This history concerns the Western Human kingdom.   After the first era, the humans had come to know and understand the basics of the areas they now lived within. They had a firm grasp of their way of life. Yet this is when they met another group, the elves.   Initial contact was hostile, as the humans had not seen other peoples. The elves a far more advanced race was more willingly to explore diplomatic options and to work together to smooth things over with the humans.   This diplomatic action led to the foundation the the treaty of men.   The treaty of men dictated that the elves would protect or come to the aid of humans, but were hands off and expected others to respect the new race.   The humans using the treaty of men to expand pushed into the south eastern lands and eventually met the dwarves of the mountain kingdoms.
