Years ago, Araphant was sworn to protect a village of hobbits. To his eternal shame, he was unable to do so and now has a sworn a bloob pact to avenge them. But in the depths of Smaug’s lair, he is forced to face his fears, and his shame, once more.
Ghostly Vision
The feast of Lemuralia’s grand tradition of summoning the dead in an effort to bless and consecrate the living, brought Araphant’s past flooding back to him. After reciting the words of the spell, a dark blue mist filled the room, and from its ethereal wisps, an apparition of a beleaguered old hobbit with a hammer clutched in his shimmering hand. He thanks Araphant for his commitment and forgives him for not being able to better protect the village. But if he truly wants to help find those responsible, he should travel to the very beginnings of the lands of Anghor, and in particular, Thawbarrow Monastery. It is here the lands of Anghor find their beginnings, it is here you will find the remains of he who was to be the savior. You quest to discover what happened to the people you were to protect!
Benefits of the Dead
