Trappings: Ill Fortune - A dark cloud over the victim’s head. A numbing cold. Good Fortune – Radiant light around target. A warm, safe sensation.
 
The Fae are capricious, and some find humor in mortal suffering. In their nastier moods, they often curse mortals with Ill Fortune. A victim of Ill Fortune rolls a Spirit check against the caster’s spell-casting ability roll. If the victim succeeds, no ill fortune befalls them. If the victim fails the contested Spirit roll, they find it difficult to perform even the most basic task. Once easy tasks now present a challenge. All actions and/or Trait rolls made while cursed with Ill Fortune are at a -2 penalty (or -4 with a raise).
 
Occasionally, the Fae feel generous toward a mortal and favor her with Good Fortune. All actions and/or Trait rolls made with the boon of Good Fortune are at a +2 bonus (or +4 with a raise). The caster may not cast this spell on themselves.
