The Jotunborn have the visage of creatures, but are humanoid in structure. The different kinds of Jotunborn that are found canine, reptilian and trollan, and each kind has their own tribe, lead by a Chief.

They originate either from Midgard, or from Helheim. The Jotunborn on the higher realms now are those who ancestors did not want to fight with Hel, and fled through the bifrost before it was sealed. Of all the races they are the least trusted, and persecuted. Alfheim would not have them due to long standing hatred; the Aesir of Asgard did not trust them after the events of Ragnarok, and the deaths of Gods at the hands of the most powerful of them - Fenrir, Garm, Hel and Jormangandr.

VANAHEIM

Those Jotunborn who made it to Vanaheim were the lucky ones. Upon Vanaheim they are treated as equals, and have an equal status to all the other races upon the world; even the Vanir themselves. The Vanir, following Ragnarok decided that old prejudices should be laid to rest, and trusted the Jotun Born to be as they say they were; not allied with Hel and her forces. They, like everyone else here, can be what they want to be.

It is currently a Jotunborn who leads the Vana Council; a Canine named Sarga Upamane.

Even though all are treated equal upon Vanaheim, the people of the current Council Leader are treated with more reverence out of natural respect for those associated with power.

SVARTALFHEIM

Those Jotunborn who went to Svartalfheim were not the lucky ones. They have freedom but the world of Svartalfheim is harsh, and they are left to their own devices to try and survive. The Svartalfar do not allow them within their city walls, and trade opportunities are rare. They have become a hardy people as a result, living where the harsh landscape is best for them. Some do live together with the Humans of this realm who are also in the same position as they are, creating cohabiting communities both of the settled variety and the nomadic.
