At 4:45AM on the morning of Friday September the 1st 1939, the German army consisting of 52 divisions pulled the World into the Second World War with the invasion of Poland. Like dominoes the nations of Europe mobilized in the face of Nazi aggression, preparing for the coming storm that blanketed the world until 1945.

Beyond the Barbed Wire aims to provide a companion d20 System supplement for players who wish to role-play in the war torn environment of the Second World War. Following in the footsteps of countless hero’s who battled across the deserts of North Africa, the jungles of the Pacific, the hedgerows of France, or the snowfields of Russia.

Beyond the Barbed Wire Role-playing Supplement

This role-playing game provides Players and Game Masters with all the materials needed to create characters such as infantry soldiers, resistance fighters, paratroopers, spies, or even tank crews. It also provides detailed equipment lists to outfit characters with equipment appropriate to their national military resources or in accordance with what materials could be stolen or scrounged from occupying military forces.

Sherman tanks advance upon a road.

This suppliment has been designed to expand on the D20 System. Character creation follows the normal method as outlined in the d20 Modern Role-playing Game rules, with the addition of new character classes from this supplement. The new classes from this publication have been designed specifically with the environment of World War Two in mind - although the regular d20 character classes and occupations can be employed to build up characters from the general population, rather than the armed forces.

Next we include an edited Skills and Feats description list, edited to reflect the time period in mind plus the new items that we have updated or edited in line with this game supplement. All of this is toped off with our Second World War equipment list, where we attempted to convay the history of the war materials.

So strap on your ammo belt, ready that pistol, gather your courage,
and get ready to go Beyond the Barbed Wire!
