R'lyehian is a language spoken by the denizens of R'lyeh. Under normal circumstances, most humans are unable to speak it properly, with the exception of the Thuum'ha, who possess a second tongue

Plurals are formed by repeating the last syllable of a word, and pronounced by repeating the last syllable after a glottal stop

R'lyehian is heavily agglutinative, and utilizes a small set of words repeatedly in various contexts, and makes extensive use of prefixes and suffixes to alter and derive meaning from pre-existing words.

R'lyehian posseses unfixed word order, and it is possible to use any word order without sacrificing proper grammar. However, word order is often changed depending on context:
Subject-verb-object order is used in informal contexts
Subject-object-verb is used in formal contexts
Object-subject-verb order is used when refering to a god or a powerful enigmatic entity (such as the Tinge), as well as when proclaiming one's love (which may or may not be to a god)
