Session 1
General Summary
From the journal of Doarph
- Myself and three others set out on a journey from Sundown to Last Light following a call to arms from a farmer and self-appointed warden of the Western Marches named "Faldor Thorne"
- We travelled by cart, the journey was to be three days but heavy rain and a collapsed bridge forced us to take the long way through the mountains to the southwest.
- We felt a strange surge of magic and the very earth beneath our feet shook and split open as our entire band fell down 30ft into an abandoned temple swarming with cultists. Our guide, Tilda Copperpot, got caught beneath the wagon on the way down and didn't make it. Neither did our pony Breadcrumb... Fate is cruel.
- We scoured the seemingly ancient elven temple looking for a way out. On the way we were met with:
- A burning room hiding an ornate silver key and an ancient text depicting some elven mural
- Some cultists devoted to a cause that would see the world be rid of any non-human race
- A chest holding an artifact important to the cultists
- A massive bronze door, bulging inwards as if someone tried to break in but failed
- A dwarven prisoner which we saved and likely other halfling prisoners who still require rescuing
- The dwarf prisoner we found, Borri, is also a peddler just like Tilda. He even knew her. He seeks revenge on the cultists but we chose survival first.
- We left the dungeon by boat and exited out of a mountain face which had some sort of humanoid visage carved into it.
