Kris Halevard (a.k.a. Sake)

Kris is the kind of person who doesn’t let on about themselves, not out of ill intent or any desire to deceive, but rather because of a deep-seated sense of self-hatred. Outwardly, his personality manifests in a cheery, bubbly personality that can more often than not seem airheaded, or as if he isn’t paying attention. Despite this, however, he pays a great deal of attention to the world around him, a trait developed and honed by working as a bartender at his father’s Gunpla Bar. When asked personal questions, Kris tends to compulsively lie, though contrary to most, his lies serve to make him seem less interesting, either denying his own participation in the event, or reducing any feats that he may have performed down to their base components, and attributing them to others.

Personal history

In a word, Kris’s childhood and early years can be summed up by ‘gunpla’. From a young age, he was subjected to the whims of his divorced parents, shuttled between opposite ends of the country on a regular basis - the only constants in his life remaining his precious Gunpla, and the Anime that had given them form. This ended however at the age of sixteen when his mother was killed in a car crash, and Kris was sent to live full time with his father, John Halevard. John put his son to work in his Bar, running the already archaic Gunpla Duel machines that dotted the main lobby, as well as building, repairing, and servicing kits for the regulars of the bar. During the next six years, Kris would continue to work for his father as he attended school locally, remaining isolated from his peers. Currently, Kris has moved overseas to Japan to get closer to the origin of the hobby that has kept him sane throughout his childhood, as well as to escape his parents - both living and dead. Despite this, however, Kris is once again working in a Gunpla Bar in Akihabara, maintaining the Gunpla Dive Systems as well as creating rentals for beginners to use.
