A quiet, new diver who joined GBN as a way to relax.
Tsubaki Asuka is a young woman who works with her roommate at Diver City Food Court. Usually quiet and anxiously overworked, her roommate Yuri insists that she participate in Gunpla Battle Nexus Online to de-stress.
While she herself hasn't watched a single Gundam show, Tsubaki has learned enough to understand the basics, and combines it with other pop-culture trivia to survive the Nexus. Uses the ASW-G-49 Gundam Cain.
The custom work on her Gunpla wasn't done by her; it is originally an old Barbatos customized by her roommate Yuri to become a jack-of-all-ranges suit.

Personal history

Once known as Shizuha Asami, she and her sister Misa were both groomed at a young age to take over the family business of software development. While both sisters were unenthusiastic about it, as the elder sibling Shizuha felt more pressure from her parents to succeed them while Misa was shown little, if any love at all, retreating into watching Gundam and building Gunpla. To fix all these issues in a single stroke, the 16-year-old Shizuha decided to leave, disappearing from the family one stormy night into the ocean.
In reality, she had faked her death, resurfacing under a new identity as Tsubaki Asuka. Changing her appearance, she has kept as far as away as possible from her old life as she could - until now. Perhaps a sense of guilt or want to see her sister again has driven her to take up the offer to play Gunpla Battle Nexus Online.
