A student after meditating and studying with their teachers would write the name of the spell in their spell book and then they can cast the spell by saying the name of the spell. For experts however, they can make new spells and write them into the book and use some of their essence/energy from their soul within to give the spell energy.
Significance
It is used by all beginning mages, and for expert mages to teach future generations of mages.
