Personal history

When Alfred was born in his village his father had become the village chieftain and so Alred was expected to be raised to follow his father's footsteps and learn how to become a chieftain or how to properly run a farm. over the years however, Alfred was a energetic child who didn't behave very well and would go run off somewhere and play instead of studying. by the time Alfred was a young man almost sixteen years old, he got into some shady business with a group of thugs who wanted to kill him because he couldn't pay off his debts and so his parents sent him to the capital city of Paradine where he would stay with some monks until the thugs would stop looking for him. and for several years Alfred would become a wonderful student amongst the monks and learned hand to hand combat very easily and had done lots of charity work in his community, until he received a letter that told him the thugs he was hiding from had found him and took his parents and would kill them unless he could pay off the ransom. after some time journeying back to his village he saw that his parents were killed, drained from all of their blood and the thugs had surprised attacked him and he tried to fight them off until he realized that the thugs were vampires now and had feasted upon his parents and he became enraged and punched through one of the thugs chest destroying the heart, killing the vampire instantly and he fought the thugs until one of them was able to stab from behind with a knife. 
And just before the vampire could sink his fangs into Alfred, a silver arrow shoots right through the side of the vampire's head and the other two thugs turned over to see where the arrow came from and there were two knights: a Dwarfan and a Human and they charged the vampires with great bravery and began to fight them. Then the vampire whose heart was destroyed got up and attacked the human knight from behind, biting his neck and tearing it open. the Dwarfan turns around and saw what had happened and yells NO! and runs to the human knight and kills the vampire by slicing his head clean off with his khopesh. Then the other two vampires run straight at him and the Dwarfan readies his blades and then runs to the vampires and slides on his knees disemboweling both of the vampires and then quickly gets up and turns around and stabs them both through the hearts.
Afterwards the Dwarfan knight goes to check if Alfred is okay and after patching up his wounds he walks over to his comrade and as he watches him slowly turn into a vampire he lifts his khopesh and stabs his former comrade right the heart killing him. Then the Dwarfan asked Alfred to come with him and he took him to a fortress and there were other knights. Alfred was sponsored by the Dwarfan and Alfred was initiated into the octagon order. After many years of training he became a great Octagon knight and he swore revenge upon all of the vampires that belonged to the clan those thugs were spawns of.
