The Record of the Great Empire of Erikadia, from its founding to the present as related by Countessa Seona Fremmencourt of Roksan

After the Blight, the land of Erikadia was brought low, its people starved, and were without hope or a leader. The Gods heard the cry of the people, and Sevina showed a vision to Paeter. It was then that the first King arrived. Paeter the Great was the King of the Erckids. They were descended from the survivors of the Mercadion Empire that was lost in the last Era. They came into the land as it was ordained by Sevina the Great Goddess of our People. Paeter Orsino came into the land of Erikadia with his wife, and his brother Karlus accompanied him. Now in those days the land was filled with monsters, goblins, orcs and all manner of beasts. In the ancient ruins of the Mercadion Capital dwelt an ancient evil, Paeter took his greatsword, Fearwuld, along with Karlus and the Erckadion host charged into the ruins without fear. They went into the depths of the old capital and fought through waves of monsters of all type. Many men and women of the Host were lost as they fought their way through the ancient mazes. At the base of the ruins lay a Liche who was called Adnan Aenu. Paeter fought the Lich in single combat. After a hard fought battle Paeter slew the Lich, and they reclaimed the city for men and the Cogniza. After the story of what happened in depths of Mercadion came to light, the people declared Paeter King of Erikadia, this was the year 130 of the third Era. Now Paeter ruled Erikadia for Twenty and Five years. He was a just king, and ruled with an even hand. When he died he left the kingdom to his brother Karl, as he had no children. Karl was old then, being only a few years younger than Paeter, and he refused the crown and gave it instead to his son Paetrius, so named for his uncle the King. Paetrius was a good king, though not great as his uncle was, and was more fit to swordplay than to rule. His court was dominated by his good sister Erminia. Paetrius Married Francine Dumbrune of Truche. She was a woman of the people, and well like by her subjects. When a plague swept through the kingdom Francine would visit her ill subjects. Unfortunately the illness spread to her, and then to her husband the king. Paetrius died in his bed shortly after his wife passed on, and they had no children. Erminia was the only living member of the Orsino Family at that time and so she took the crown. Erminia was married to Thomas Dumbrune Count of Truche, a region nearby that was freshly reclaimed by other Humans. She ruled justly and well, until she was murdered by a disgruntled military officer who was not granted a promotion. Erminia’s first born son Rothan succeeded her to the throne. As he was the heir to the Throne of Erikadia, as well as the County of Truche, he inherited a much larger estate than Erminia did. Rothan was somewhat adept at ruling, but he was a fragile man, who quickly fell when a plague swept through the nation. Rothan’s son Jermaine rose to the throne on the Ultinel of Spring, 182 E3, in his 14th year. It was assumed that Jermaine being so young would be controlled by advisors, and regents, but Jermaine did not allow himself to be manipulated around him. Jermaine lead the s
