Earwig
An earwig is a small species of magical beetle that, when allowed to crawl into the ear canal (or any whatever serves as the hearing organ for a being), provides a means of long distance communication as well as automatic langauge creation.
Additional Information
Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
Symbiotic with any species with a membrane that vibrates as it detects sound, like a human ear drum. The earwig will grip onto the membrane with barbs on the ends of its feet. The vibration of the membrane provides the earwig with all the energy it needs. If an earwig is deprived of vibration for more than 2 days, it will die.
