zhoobeug viper

The zhoobeug viper (fox viper) is a venomous species of snake. It is most commonly found in the oasis around Nezhgub. It is eaten as a delicacy in Nezhgub.
The venom glands of the fox viper remain poisonous even after death. This allows it to be harvested and used as a poison. Such harvesting occurs every time the snake is prepared for cooking, as it is flayed and the glands carefully removed as the initial part of preparing it for cooking. The poison makes it's way across the Two Continents into the hands of assassins, with whom it's popular for its ubiquity, making it difficult to track.
