Dawnfolk Kindred

A member of the Dawnfolk society who is not of pure blood.  Dawnfolk Kindred can originate from any race, ethnicity or place.  Being a nomadic people, the Dawnfolk encounter a variety of people and cultures and do not discriminate but rather judge  those they meet based on their actions, mental capacity and some say other metrics which only the Unmixed can see and measure.  Not everyone who associates, works with or travels with the Dawnfolk is considered Kindred.  However, the Unmixed in any grouping or family may invite those whom they consider worthy to become Kindred.  This is usually done by the eldest Unmixed gifting some piece of clothing, jewelry, tattoo design, etc. that must then be worn and displayed at all times and is how Kindred can be universally recognized as such by any Dawnfolk they might meet.  Once someone becomes Kindred, leaving the Dawnfolk society is not tolerated.
While all Dawnfolk will consider a Kindred as one of their own, a caste system exists within the society in which the Unmixed are privileged.  Because of this, those outside of the Dawnfolk sometimes think of the Kindred as lesser or servants in the Dawnfolk communities.  Dewpopper, Dewbaby, Late Riser and Wagon Washer are a few of the insulting names they might be called but only if an Unmixed isn't within earshot.
There are rumours of very rare occurences in which a Kindred, usually those who have some Unmixed ancestry, inherits some of the mysterious powers usually only manifesting in the Unmixed.  Even that it is possible that those who do might undergo some ritual or quest in order to purify their blood and join the higher class.
