The Grand Brass Tower

One of the many towers built by the ancient Goric people before the creation of the No Man's Land. The Beastmen of No Man's Land see this tower as a refuge, not only from the harsh environment they reside in, but from people, too. Very few of these Towers still remain standing, and are considered even more divine now than before the age of No Man's Land. The Grand Brass Tower was once where the Brass-Marble King founded the Marble knights, whom had left the Tower in ages past, leaving only a cathedral for the remaining Beastmen wishing to rest in a safe place and practice their beliefs in peace

Purpose / Function

A place of worship for adherents of the Gor faith, and refuge for the Beastmen that now reside in No Man's Land

Architecture

The Tower's outside consists of white and black marble walls decorated with melted brass and gold detailing, depicting myths and saints. The inside is filled with a variety of objects of worship. Notably, rope is strewn all about the interior (and sometimes exterior) of the Tower.

History

About 2000 years before the birth of No Man's Land, the Goric people inhabiting most of the region built 27 towers stretching across the whole continent. The Grand Brass Tower was one of tallest, and thusly, one of the most divine. massive ropes were tied to the spire atop, ending in elaborate knots to honour the gods. After the birth of No Man's Land, most of the Goric people were already dead or converted, and the few that remained had turned into Beastmen due to the influence of the dormant Yaal Khubiqd in No Man's Land. Due to the hatred towards Beastmen due to their misshapen appearance, they moved to forests and other secluded areas. Some Beastmen stayed in No Man's Land, though, to take care of temples and other religious locations and artifacts. Travelling Beastmen now often visit these areas to seek rest and refuge, and to practice their beliefs in the most divine of places. The Grand Brass Tower is the most important one of these, as it finds itself in the middle of the old city of Ferut, which is one of, if not the last remnant(s) of the Goric civilization that once inhabitet the whole region.
