Blackout

It's not how it was supposed to go.   Mankind was supposed to achieve its dreams and finally reach the stars. Explore. Expand. Push their understanding of science to heights previously unimaginable. Establish itself an interstellar dominion that would exist until the stars would go cold. After all, if there was life out there, we'd already hear it.   What happened instead was the Blackout. The moment first human left the Solar System, every single homo sapiens briefly lost consciousness, only to wake up in the galaxy that was unfamiliar as it was hostile. And very, very inhabited.   If the Mankind is to make the stars theirs, it will have to fight for them.
