Life, Identity
Joey switched for the third time in 5 years. The side effects, he soon discovered, were the remnants left behind of the souls that he had displaced. Voices that were not his own began to haunt his dreams. Visions started to take over his waking hours. A few years went by, and Joey was stark raving mad. Not sleeping, barely eating, and always hearing the voices.
Joey used his soul-swapping ability too much. It left traces of the souls that belonged in the body, to begin with. He found that he was hearing voices or memory fragments, and without knowing how to deal with this, he went insane. He was soon wandering the streets, talking to himself. He was found by the local police, dehydrated and screaming at invisible threats all around him. He was sent to Slatefall Hospital for evaluation.
