After 10 years in the psych ward, Joey escaped Slatefall hospital in the body of Sam Walters; an orderly who worked there.

Joey stayed for 10 years in Slatefall hospital, overcoming the madness that had overtaken him after "switching" his form too many times. After regaining a bit of control over his faculties, and beginning to fear for his life, Joey took the opportunity to flee while being abused by one of the orderlies. Sam Walters, a violent man, would regularly beat the patients. One day, Joey switched bodies with him, and left the hospital for good; leaving Sam to fend for himself.
