Life, Identity
Joey switches after the events in Sweden and meets Madge for the very first time.
Joey hadn't been back in Blackwell for many years. He felt awkward and exposed. None of the regular citizens knew him, only the higher-ups in the Circle knew who he was because of Mozzrag's influence. Still, he couldn't help himself. It was like an addiction at this point. He had to change his identity to feel safe, to feel further from death and further from being identified. He found a loner off by himself in the woods. He went over to him, struck up a conversation, and within a few minutes he had switched bodies with the poor young man. His old form slumped down on the ground with the soul of the young man inside it, and he walked away with the young body, feeling a little more secure. What he didn't know was he had lost more security than he realized. Another person was in the woods that night and saw the whole thing. Madge watched from behind a tree, way too fascinated to be afraid. She watched Joey leave and was determined to find out who he was. Lucky for her, she was already a part of the Circle.
