Underground network
Kingdom of Saalakary was constantly in a state of war and oppression. People had to abide by the strict rules of Kingdom or suffer the consequences. For stealing an apple, one could lose their arm and for bigger crimes, burning on the stake was a usual punishment.
Many people were prosecuted just because a powerful individual wanted something of theirs, a wife, a shop, a family heirloom... In time, most of the people moved outside of the major cities and fortifications, since they felt safer from the law.
One group was creating problems in Kingdom from its founding. They were native to the land and knew how to move undetected. They lived in a vast underground cave system that had unknown number of entry points. There were five major campaigns in an effort to destroy the inhabitants of the caves and seal off all points of entries, but each time the military did not return.
At this time, all known entry points to the underground system are guarded by small fortifications in order to stop attackers entering the Kingdom. But with each cycle, attacks are getting bigger and bolder.
