Gregory, later Sir Gregory, is the captain of the guard at Knightsmire who accompanies High Earl Edward Whitemount to Crow's Rest. While he is often looked down upon for his status as a lowborn, he is grateful for the equal treatment he receives from his employers, the Whitemounts.
