The Black Hand

Made up of various lords, knights, and merchants whose pragmatic pessimism has led them to concede defeat to the Black Queen, the Black Hand is a secret society intent on ending the War for the Light before too much blood has been shed. While not strictly evil, they are, ultimately, on the side of evil.
The Black Hand are responsible for gathering the six Crystals of Karigor on behalf of the Black Queen.
Following the Black Queen's defeat, the Black Hand faded into obscurity, with most members ashamed of supporting her even out of pragmatism. Shunned and often arrested and executed, most died penniless and alone. There are those, however, who supported the Queen not out of fear but out of love and loyalty. Little is known of such members, but many survived the purge.
