The newly elected Eligarc Harvarlio V and his cousin Seliso Grengadeen fight a duel in which both perish.
In 321 EL, the death of their leader caused the Grengadeen to call an election to replace him as head of the family. Two candidates, Eligarc and Seliso, reached the final round in which Eligarc triumphed. He became Emperor Eligarc Harvarilo V. During the election, Seliso claimed Eligarc and his supporters defamed him and demanded vengeance in the form of a duel. Seliso was slain by his opponent, but Eligarc too was mortally wounded and died a few days later. The Grengadeen split in to two factions and would eventually lose power in the splintering.
