Collapse of the Pass of Balar

The Pass of Balar, which was the only tunnel through the Krazak-Khal Mountains, is collapsed in order to prevent the Forces of Darkness from breaching the western kingdoms and crossing into Tembra.

Most of the dwarves' time in the War for the Light was spent in Kodor, where Karakar rapidly struck down each of the eastern kingdoms. By 15 BTD, they had all fallen, and only the Corridor of Beards housed dwarven states. In response to this annihilation, King Harlaw Metalbreath authorised the collapse of the tunnel. It prevented the oncoming armies from breaching Tembra, but also left the last dwarven city in Kodor, Eeric, isolated and vulnerable. It fell the same year, and all residents perished.
