Etherians are beings from another world who have been transported or reincarnated on Veneros. Each Etherian carries memories and experiences from their past lives. Individuals who are spirited away begin their new life at the age of eighteen, whereas those who are reborn start at sixteen. All Etherians, regardless of their age in their previous life, are greeted at the New Arrivals desk of the Blue Lotus Hotel. Every Etherian possesses a unique aura that reflects their past life, and this can manifest in different abilities or affinities.

The Life of an Etherian

The adjustment period for Etherians at the Blue Lotus hotel usually lasts for at least one year, during which they are supervised by other members of the staff. Etherians who have been reincarnated wear special security bands that cannot be removed while they are within the hotel’s general populace. Once they enter their apartments or leave the hotel, these bands vanish. Most Etherians choose to reside in Eterna City.

Displacement, Culture and Challenges

Etherians constantly navigate the delicate balance between maintaining their unique identity and assimilating into Venerosian life. Many times, they emerge as leaders, artists, explorers, scholars, and sometimes even defenders of the realm, as they strive to strike a balance between their previous selves and their current lives.

It is not uncommon to see an Etherian struggle with the haunting memories and knowledge of their past. These struggles have led to the formation of supportive communities where they can share experiences. As they become part of new communities, a significant number of Etherians successfully maintain their cultural heritage and values. They blend element from their previous world through holidays, celebrations, dance, and even storytelling.
