Soul Fever
Once Soul Fever consumes individuals, it reduces them to mere marionettes, forcefully stripping away their own desires and will. Once consumed by Soul Fever, individuals lose their own desires and will, being forced to conform to another's will without the ability to protest their circumstances. They are kept in a state of captivity within their own physical forms, reducing them to mere spectators of the ever-changing world that surrounds them, and depriving them of the ability to engage with it.
Formed from the lethal mix of Ethylraceta and Dydralax, Soul Fever is a blood disease that wreaks havoc on those addicted to this deadly combination of drugs. Transmission of the disease can occur through infected blood and during childbirth. Soul fever is passed through frequent dosage of the mixed drug or through transfusion of an infected blood sample.
While non-lethal when taken separately, together Ethylraceta and Dydralax cause the user to enter a zombie-like trance, depriving the user of their autonomy. Soul Fever has three stages:
Stage 1: Docile
Stage 2: Submissive
Stage 3: Complete Submission
Stage one Soul Fever is the most common type and is easily treatable with no lasting effects. With stage one, the victim, when exposed to the substance in small amounts, keeps a certain level of consciousness, albeit with most of their memories are shrouded in a fog. Increasing the dosage of the drug over an extended period will lead the victim to stage three of Soul Fever. Stage three Soul Fever makes it more probable for the recipient to experience both the combined side effects of the drug and complete loss of memory regarding their actions. Neglecting proper treatment for Soul Fever can have dire consequences, causing permanent damage to the victim's body and mind, potentially leading to their untimely demise.
