Cid Brentwood (a.k.a. "M.G. Cid")

A fleeting engineer trained by the dwarves of Tomra. Although his knowledge & skills are amendable, his complete lack of safety towards others has resulted in his dismissal from the Engineer Corps. Prior to his arrival to Shogax, he primarily made his living selling simple automata after his departure from the Engineer Corps. A field that he has since taken a strong focus on.
Upon learning about the tales of past advanced civilizations on Shogax, he spent every last of his coin to travel to the unfamiliar lands. On his arrival, he quickly joined a scavenging party and began work, searching the ruins near the Novoa River. Shortly afterwards, the party is ambushed by a band of bandits, knocking Cid out cold and many others killed or injured. As he wakes up, he finds himself and several other survivors tied up, while the bandits can be heard nearby, sharpening their blades.
Upon being saved by a band of adventurers, Cid joins the party as they travel across Shogax, learning more about the land and its settlers and even helping a few... for the right amount of coin. After many days and weeks of traveling, the group would return to the Wilmar Estate to receive their pay for escorting an elven delegation to Lord Wilmar. However, due to growing conflicting morals and obligations, the group would fracture, with Cid, Braaz, and Lainraindir leaving the estate with Alexander and Sven behind.
Many months would pass since that fateful day, during that time, Cid arrived to Ortaslaw and became familiar with the city's engineering community, even sharing some techniques and designs he learned and gathered during his time in Tomra and in his homeland of Sorinia. After several incidents with his Clockwork Knight, ARES. He decides out of frustration to do the automaton's job and fashioned himself an advanced armored suit. Several months later, he would settle in Andalor as part of his plans on industrializing the settlement.
Cid would later reunite with Sven in Andalor, where they would soon travel to Ortaslaw to find information on Lainraindir and Braaz. Coincidentally they would run into each other and later set sail to the northern colony of Gaston, which has been suffering particularly worse than the other settlements. Upon arriving to Gaston, the party would learn about the presence of Orcs and the cultists who would try and help them. The battle would end tragically with Ash and Cid drowning in their own blood. Cid would die at the young age of 25, his plans to industrialize Shogax, lost.
