Magnesite

Magnesite is a form of magnesium carbonate used as a substitute for wood to make fires. In the 22nd century, it was used to produce warp reactors and, stretching into the 24th century, the element is still a sought-after material among the Federation, Klingon Empire, Pakleds, and Yridians. It is used in the hull of Kazon fighters. Magnesite provides limited protection against antimatter radiation.
