Diplomatic action
The USS Nightingale accidently entered the Romulan Neutral Zone after sabotage by either Chief Petty Officer T'Lima and Lt Teloc of the Nightingale.
Captains Log – Stardate 48679.5
We are currently towing the badly damaged Nova Class ship the “Nightingale” towards a nearby planetary system in search of their wayward shuttle. The Pueblo is providing medical and engineering assistance after the encounter with the Romulan ship T'varen on the edge of the Neutral zone. We still do not know the motives behind the incident, or how long they had been planning it. Whilst the outcome seems to have been favourable as we have the Nightingale back with no further loss of life and apparently no escalation from the Romulans, I can only wonder at their reasons and what will the response from Starfleet be. The Pueblo won the phaser challenge, but did we pass the Romulan test?

Commander Alison Lewis
After the death of Captain Blake from being fired upon by the T'Varen Cmd Lewis was under extreme stress with a badly damaged ship and many casualties. My initial concerns with her mental state have been reduced after getting the Nightingale out of the difficult situation. My recommendation is a period of rest and further evaluation before any consideration for promotion.
Written apologies to Ensign Aravik and Cadet Arial following the confinement to quarters and questioning under my orders. Their recent addition to the crew and Romulan heritage during a hunt for sabateurs made them prime suspects. Given the nature of this incident no negative records should be on their files.
Commendation for Lt Myr for their rapid evaluation of not only the suspects but for their medical assistance onboard the Nightingale.
Requests for an in depth investigation into Chief Petty Officer T'Lima and Lt Teloc. Somehow they avoided medical checks and held long term careers in Starfleet. I am concerned for the implications of this level of infiltration and spycraft
