Rune Weaving
Runeweaving involves combining runes to create spells in the form of a "weave." The runes allow for interpretation by the mage but can also be specified for particular results. To create a runeweave, one must conjure the runes in the air, forming a focus point with their energy. A thread of energy called a "Silmar" is then used to weave the runes together into a pattern, with geometric shapes and woven threads around the focus point. The center of the runeweave can be a point (vague but flexible) or a rune (specific but less flexible), and other runes orbit around this center, describing or interacting with it. The mage then channels energy through the Silmar to cast the spell.
