As they all say, to live here you have to be tough. At least tougher than the rocks, because here rocks get crushed, destroyed, transformed everyday, and if you are weak, you'll get crushed too !

Geography

The Sea of Ivory is a region of Boomal in which nature's geology seems to have gone crazy. Geological events such as volcanoes, earthquakes, tidal waves, land emersion can occur daily and unexpectedly. This is an inhospitable land in which life is tough for people who chose to come here.

Fauna & Flora

The land is so unstable, and environment is so hostile, that no plants or animals truely live in the region. However, when continental parts are underwater, fish and marine animals can come with the currents, to eventually leave as soon as the sea retreats.

Natural Resources

The reason why people come to this part of the continent is because the intense geologic activity creates lots and lots of very accessible mineable resources : gemstones, ornament stone, specific chemicals necessary for ceramics are all very valuable and successful prospectors often become very wealthy before leaving for nicer cities.
