Domfru, Maiden of The Dead
No one is sure how Domfru and her sister Joshinda were created, all thats known about them is that they are children of Gatsu.
Domfru and Joshinda were created at a crucial part of Borohiem's history, near the beginning, when the people of Borohiem started to die, they had nowhere to go, there was no afterlife, they just drifted into eternal purgatory, unable to do anything. Kurhad and Shoju had no idea what to do, their powers didn't allow them to make after lives, and they didn't want their people to suffer such terrible fates, but they felt as though there was nothing they could do... at least until Domfru and Joshinda appeared. The two offered to create after lives for the people of Borohiem, with one condition, they would have complete control over it, and no interference from other gods, Kurhad and Shoju accepted the deal after a few minutes of thinking on it, and the four started making an amazing afterlife fit for Borohiem.
They instantly ran into problems, none of the decisions they made were unanimous, which meant nothing was getting done because they were all arguing.
But eventually, after days of arguing, they finally agreed on something, they would split off into two groups, Domfru and Kurhad, and Joshinda and Shoju. Those who worshiped Domfru would go to Domfru's afterlife and those who worshipped Joshinda would go to Joshinda's afterlife.
But what is Domfru's afterlife? Well, it is quite simple; when you die you wake up in an empty prison cell, waiting at the door of the cell is one of Domfru's death maidens, she will open the door and give you a weapon, this weapon is made to suit you perfectly, as you are taking this weapon you will probably notice that your body is the most fit and healthy it's ever been. The death maiden will guide you down a hallway of stone, eventually bringing you to a set of fancy wooden doors, once you get close enough the doors will open and reveal a gargantuan stadium, while you're in awe your death maiden pushes you through the doors and lock you in.
Weird creatures begin to appear as soon as you step foot into this area, these creatures are your sins and regrets, and to ascend to eternal happiness, you must kill them.
The people watching you fight are those who have already succeeded, they cheer you on, but they know you won't win, It's your first try, and almost no one gets out that fast, so your sins and regrets kill you... but then you wake up again, in that same cell, and the whole cycle repeats. Eventually, you win, and you learn how to defeat your sins, but it might take a while, some beat it in their first 10 tries, others take 1000, it all depends on how you lived your mortal life.
But what do you get after you win? Well, eternal happiness of course! You can wish for anything and it will be given to you, within reason, of course. You can watch newcomers fight, or, if you're really lucky, you could meet one of the Valjordian gods, as long as you worshipped them in your mortal life.
This afterlife is Valskahm, the arena is refured to as lower Valskahm and the place of enternal happiness is called upper Valskahm.
Domfru is worshipped by about half the population of Borohiem, the other half worshipping her sister, Joshinda.
Often graveyards, burial ships, and crypts are decorated with imagery of her, from statues of her to her symbols (that being vultures and coyotes), although crypts tend to have less imagery related to her and instead dedicated to the person the crypt is made for.
Domfru's only child is Kalbur, the god of danger and cold.
