Half-Oni

Half Oni are the disgusting offspring of the spirits (typically Demonic-type, hence the name). Half Oni come with all sorts of different deformities, the common ones are small tusks and horns, but some can also have things like tails or third eyes, it really depends on the spirit they're related to. but how are these creatures created? while there are two ways, one being some sleeping with a spirit, and the other one is a spirit cursing a baby of a person that has done them wrong. when it comes to the first option the parent is hung as soon as someone finds out, as for the 2nd, the parents need to make sure their cursed child is cared for, because the death of a half-oni brings supernatural bad luck. so half-oni are cursed to wander the outskirts of Boroheim since most people will spit on them and beat them if they come too close to human settlements. a lot of Half-oni tend to go down the dark path of becoming avid spirit worshipers, since spirits are surprisingly accepting of their half-breed offspring.
