Describe a geographically or meteorologically unstable region of your world
A region West of the Halfling kingdoms on Boscage 4 regularly impacted by small meteorites, which cause wild fires to spread and kill anything that can't outrun them, burrow deep, or fly out of the way. This caused many speed based herbivories such as the odd pronged grazeolope and blaze ponies, ambush predators like the giant ant lion and the giant wolf spider, and swift take off birds like jumping fire swallows and the ever cheeky tool using plains runner to evolve from this. Scavengers such as three beaked vultures and packs of mutated canines come in after fires are set and leave smoked corpses in their wake to feast away, which can give them enough calories to last a month or more. No civilization can exist in this region without magic or technology, but these impact fires cause fertility across the plains every season, which eventually helps spread nutrients East to the Halfing kingdoms and the World Tree to the North.
