Razor beaked ridge raptors

Describe an endangered species in your world. Why is it in this position?   A very large reptilian species that frequents the North East quadrant of the map along the sheer cliffs, which evolved feathers and a beak after the fall of the Kel'tarar empire to hunt small game along the Eastern coast line. However the jungles that crept up North started to slowly take over their hunting grounds over the last four thousand years, and the small herbivories became stealthy and hid in the new underbrush and canopy growth, which kept out many of these massive predators. The ridge raptors lack keen eyesight and pattern recognition to discern their new camouflaged neighbors, so have been slowly fading from time, as their main source of food digs into it's new niche. Some ridge raptors have been starting to try and fish along the coast, but most marine life on Boscage 4 avoids the surface, since it's the deadliest place to be, so we'll see if a few survive this process.
