Why the gods created sleep vine

Sleep vines are predatory plants that are lured to loud annoying noises and wait till the target isn't suspecting anything, usually whilst asleep and snoring, then feeds on them until they're incorporated into the main host. Anyways, the Eladrin myth is that their goddess of laughter and music Elaya was disturbed by a mighty giant who snored all night and kept interrupting her performances, so she cried to the World Tree who shed a seed the next day. This seed quickly sprouted and turned into a vine which grew steadily toward the snores, and in no time at all the vine had covered most of the land and stopped all foul sounds which echoed across Boscage 4. To this day natives still pray to Elaya at night to sleep sound and silently, least they end up strangled and consumed by sleep vines, or angry neighbors.
