Description
This technique grants the user the ability to control and manipulate "pieces" within a designated area, treating the battlefield like a giant chessboard. Each "piece" (friend or foe) has a role and abilities assigned by the user, allowing them to strategize and control the flow of battle.
Snazzy Perks
Piece Designation: The user can assign people (or cursed spirits) within a certain range as specific “chess pieces” (like Pawn, Knight, Bishop, etc.), giving them special abilities or restricting their movements. Each piece has unique rules:
Pawns: Gain minor strength and defense boosts and can be “sacrificed” to trigger minor explosive curses when they are defeated.
Knights: Gain enhanced speed and can perform “L-shaped” teleportations across short distances.
Bishops: Gain long-range curse attacks, shooting diagonally within the designated area.
Rooks: Become impenetrable defenders or unstoppable attackers, moving only in straight lines but with great strength. [+100 AP] [3X Attack Damage]
Queens: Gain multi-directional power-ups, enhancing their speed and attack options, but at a high cursed energy cost to the user.
King’s Command: As the “King,” the user can issue commands to their designated pieces, controlling them like pawns in a game. This control isn’t absolute; stronger-willed targets can resist, but it allows the user to coordinate allies or enemies to act as they desire.
Board Manipulation: The user creates a visual grid on the battlefield, much like a chessboard. Within this grid, they can alter the landscape slightly, creating obstacles, pitfalls, or safe zones on specific "squares."
Checkmate: When the user maneuvers an enemy “King” into a vulnerable position, they can unleash a powerful, finishing curse technique, dealing significant damage in one decisive blow.
Weaknesses
Energy Consumption: Each designated piece and board manipulation costs cursed energy, so keeping multiple pieces active is draining.
Limited Control Range: The user can only assign pieces and issue commands within a limited area, which can restrict them if opponents escape this range.
Loss upon King’s Capture: If the user (the “King”) is attacked directly and wounded, the technique collapses, leaving them vulnerable. [The User will gain CT Burnout]
