Bracken Rag - Wind Issue #1

Celebrations and Scandal! - As the city's greatest artists and patrons prepare to show off their stuff during the Festival of Light, it is clear that some folks are willing to make dirty deals to make sure they outshine the competition. An artist in New Town, who will not be named to protect their identify, claimed that someone had broken into their workshop and dismantled their lantern. The artist had created a lantern out of metal, primarily brass and steel, and expressed how they wanted to create a piece made out of the same material as them, and pondered about how they were once created by someone else as well. I know that the idea of being intentionally crafted can be a bit strange to those of us that were born or hatched. It seems that those that have been designed have a different perspective on existence. Anyway, if anyone knows of any foul play regarding the vandalism of lanterns, or anything really, you should contact the Horned Guard, and also if you want, send a letter to Letter Box 191184 at the Redscale Way Letter Box Carriers Office in the Ends.
New Addition to the Team - I am excited to announce that I have added a new member to the Bracken Rag family! I found an adorable white lizard while I was out counting pigeons. The little guy was really lively and kept trying to collect the bird seed that people threw for the pigeons. I think the little guy was just hungry so I took him home to take care of him. He has seemed pretty content living in his new enclosure. I have a tank that I got after a pet store went out of business after a bunch of mephits escaped and ruined the place. Mephits make poor pets, but the tanks they are kept in are well reinforced, as long as you remember to close the lid. I decided to name the lizard Clyde.
Ask Sard - Dear "Searching for Answers". First of all, thank you so much for sending me a letter. Yours was the only one I received, other than the one I got from my mom. (Hi Mom!) I found your letter to be most intriguing. I have never heard of an "incurable" disease before, although I have my theories about curses and dark bargains with beings with terrifying corruptible power. There are tales of a horned demon that prays on desperate souls and uses them as vessels to drain life and light out of the world, but everyone from Darkmire knows those stories are all made up. Anyway, if you haven't yet, talk to the folks at the Shrine of the Champion. It might be difficult to find a qualified healer, with the influx of goblins at the place trying to learn the healing arts, but it is worth a shot! Good Luck! - Sard
