Introduction to Brackenport

Our story unfolds in the lively seaside city of Brackenport. The city welcomes people of a variety of shapes, shades, faiths, and abilities.   Brackenport boasts a natural history museum, a flourishing art scene, and food from the far reaches of the realm.   Those who call Brackenport home for a lifetime or simply a few days live in relative comfort, provided they regularly toss small trinkets, tokens, and treasures into the city’s crystal fountains.  

Welcome to Brackenport

Trade and the production of artisan-made crafts has brought wealth to the people of Brackenport. Fertile farmlands to the East and the bounty of the sea to the West provides ample food for the citizens and visitors of this fine city. Far to the north, the Argenti Mountains stand as a grim, though distant, testament to nature’s wraith. To the south, travel becomes difficult through the dense forests and swamps outside of the boundaries of the city’s control.  

Murmurs of Unease

The citizens and visitors to Brackenport have enjoyed a period of peace for as long as most residents can recall. A scant few ancient elves, and grumpy old dwarves, and the like, tell tall tales of dragons, giants, fey, and primordial elemental powers that once roamed the realm. Through recently there have been tales of great beasts and strange creatures lurking far beyond Brackenport’s controlled territory.

House Rules

  • Heroic Inspiration - All characters begin each session with inspiration.
  • Critical Hits - All creatures roll double dice on a critical hit (Natural 20)
  • Your Group Patron

    Your characters have joined up in the service of an influential individual or organization in Brackenport. As a group, you will select from one of the following group patrons. Your patron will provide you will a place to live, an allowance, and other benefits. In return your party will work in the service and interest of your patron.

    This adventure contains themes of political intrigue, betrayal, violence, and corrupting primordial magic.
  • Lines. This game will not contain violence towards children, inter-party violence, inter-party betrayal, nonconsensual sexual contact.
  • Veils. Torture, kidnapping, consensual sexual contact.
  • If at any time you don’t feel comfortable with the content or direction of the game, you can call a time out either verbally or with a hand gesture and we will take a short break and then address any concerns.
