Personal history
King Valnorin came from Oflyae with his mother after being exiled due to his mother having married a human in secret. His mother first took him to Dacrait where he started his education while his mother worked as a scribe. This only lasted several years as Dacrait did not make for a great home for one small High-Elf and an even shorter Half-Elf. Learning of Udrana his mother quickly chartered a ship and they made the trip to what would be their new home.
It was here that Ricladon was able to find others of his kind and be exposed to almost every race imaginable. Having come from Oflyae a place he saw as oppressive he found a calling in extending outreach programs to other Elves that would also like a different way of life. The influx of Elves brought a lot of quick prosperity to Udrana gaining Ricladon a bit of fame and influence.
Finding himself pushed into the spotlight and quickly into politics Ricladon took quickly to his new fame quickly. Over the next couple of years, he found himself in roles such as: Ambassador for Elven Affairs, Cheif Of Staff for the Elven Embassy, and Council to the King. After serving the King for several years before his death this left him as a prime candidate after the king died with no heirs. Being half human and Half-Elf gained him a lot of support along with his generally pleasant demeanor and his somewhat rough upbringing.

Quotes & Catchphrases
"I do not care to be called elf or human. I cared to be called for what I am, a half-elf. For without both parts I would be worse off."
"Yes I am an elf, but make no mistake I do not hold onto the idea that it makes me better than anyone. If anything I have more to prove to you that I deserve to be looked at with such admiration and I intend to live up to your expectations."
