Lek
Lek is the most refined weave of material known to the Three, made of <creature's <product type>>, and is the only cloth fine enough to catch even the minuscule chol which are notorious for eating away at refined metals.
Properties
Material Characteristics
Lek is smooth to the touch, the lines of its weave imperceptible to all but the most talented fingers, and even then some of the most masterfully made lek is weaved too fine for feeling- most describe the feeling of lek as rubbing one's finger across a crystal clear pond, somehow without disturbing its surface. Its movement is fluid and seemingly unhindered by friction- a firm grasp is required to keep it from slipping between one's fingers. The color of lek depends on the age of the <creature> which created it, ranging from bright orange through pink to dull lilac; a more lilac color usually indicates higher quality lek.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Lek repels most liquids as well as a freshly pitched plank, and can be weaved fine enough to catch smaller pests.
History & Usage
Everyday use
Lek is most common among the rich as clothing, due to its near miraculous capabilities and difficulty to obtain and weave properly. However, anyone with a weapon or tool made of decent metal is likely to carry a small rag made of at least pink lek (usually worth more than the clothes on their back), in order to wipe the off the chol which eat away at many metals.
