The Singed Lands

Commonly called the Singe or The Char; this is the name given to the lands that have been taken and defiled by the Ring of Fire. The main portion of the singe is land to the west of Boethia. Once called Hostmarch, the land was mainly a mix of humans and the elvish race Eladrin, but many others lived here too. Now, for nearly a half a century, Hostmarch has been lost to the Ring and few actually know if any from that land still live aside from the ones that fled before it fell. Stories have been spread by pirates and rogue triton that dealt with the Ring of Fire that the lands taken by the orcs of the Ring have been cleared of all natural life; the land turned into a fiery pit. Oria and Tundera are not considered parts of the Singed Lands since there was no real natural life home to those continents.
